SFC Meeting Minutes September 25, 2008

I. Call to Order: 7:00pm

II. Introductions of the board.

III. Federation of Student Social Workers

a. Money need to help fund a conference and speakers that are coming to campus. Would like to go to VCU to see their program and take notes on how they run their program. Want shirts so they can promote the organization.

b. Stephan Lee moved to allocate $251.68 for Rally in the Valley, Cam made a friendly amendment to add the VCU program trip for $89.60. Approved.

c. Stephan Lee moved to allocate $20 for advertisement. Approved.

d. Total allocated $271.68

IV. Blue Heat Dance Team

a. They dance at half time at the basketball games and participate in Oktoberfest. They have had one try-out so far and are up to 6 members, they are planning on having another try-out soon. They need new uniforms and pom poms. They looked for the cheapest uniforms that they could find online called Discount Dance Supplies.

b. Total Needed: $700

c. Tabled until further notice because this was not signed off on by Matt McGregor. And also after the second try-out has been held.
