Organization Registration Procedure
Benefits Of Registration:
- Eligibility for activity fees (unless prohibited by law or institution/SGA policy)
- Space reservation and facility rental privileges
- Recognition for campus awards
- Vehicle use privileges
- Booth reservations at Spring Weekend and/or Oktoberfest
- Approval for putting up posters on campus
- Use of name (i.e. SGA at Longwood)
Note: individual areas/departments may have to ensure compliance by refusing non-registered groups these privileges
How To Register:
- Forms are now processed ELECTRONICALLY at this website: http://longwood.netclubmgr.com.
- New organization will be considered "active" on approval of constitution by SGA
- Existing organizations will be considered "active" if registration form is correctly submitted annually
What is needed to be a registered group:
- A completed registration form,
- Name/address of at least 4 registered student members/officers,
- Name/address of at least 1 faculty/staff advisor,
- An updated constitution on file with the Office of Student Activitiesincluding the following information: purpose, membership eligibility, officership eligibility, duties and election procedures, removal of officers and/or members, meeting schedules and/or frequency, amendment procedures.
- Organizations must re-register each semester to remain active.
- Attendence semesterly at the mandatory COOL meeting.
